Lawrence County Jail Roster
The official Lawrence County inmate records path begins at the sheriff roster chooser. That page separates Current Inmates from 48 Hour Release, so the first choice is based on custody status. Current Inmates covers people at the Lawrence County Detention Center. The release view covers people released from the detention center within the past 48 hours. Both are public web paths and the research found no login or paid account requirement.
The sheriff's disclaimer says the roster is provided for convenience and that the Detention Center cannot certify accuracy or authenticity. Treat the roster as a public lookup source, not as a release order. For bond, transport, medical, visit, or money questions, call the jail or use the public counter at the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
The official roster chooser source shows the Current Inmates and 48 Hour Release choices before a user reaches the list.
That chooser matters because a current custody search and a very recent release search are separate Lawrence County inmate records paths.
Search Lawrence County Inmates
The roster is built for a name-first search. A booking number may help once a record is found, but the visible search box is Search By Name. The current roster observed during research showed a public count, pagination, sort controls, booking photos, booking dates, charges, bonds, and View Profile links. The jail does not publish a refresh interval, so do not assume a booking appears instantly.
- Open the Lawrence County roster chooser and choose Current Inmates for active jail custody.
- Enter a name in Search By Name, or select Show All when the spelling is uncertain.
- Use Name, Date, Sort Newest to Oldest, or Sort Oldest to Newest to narrow the list.
- Read the booking number, booking date, charge text, bond entry, mugshot, and View Profile link.
- Use the 48 Hour Release tab if the person may have been released very recently.
Lawrence County Roster Search Fields
Lawrence County inmate records are not filtered by facility because the facility map resolves to one local jail. The main controls are name search, current or released view, sort links, and pagination. The research did not find wildcard rules or minimum search length instructions.

Lawrence County Booking Record Fields
The list view gives the most reliable verified field set. A profile link exists, but the research tool timed out on a profile page, so unverified profile-only fields should not be claimed. The public list did show booking photos, name format, booking number, booking date and time, charges, and bond status. Some entries showed dollar bonds, while others showed denied bond.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Mugshot | Public booking-photo thumbnail appears beside many records. |
| Name | Full name in LAST, FIRST format in observed entries. |
| Booking Number | Local jail identifier for the booking event. |
| Booking Date | Date and time of jail intake, shown in month-day-year and time format. |
| Charges | Booking charge text, which may later differ from prosecutor-filed court charges. |
| Bond | Dollar amount, DENIED BOND, No Bond style wording, or another listed release condition. |
| Profile Link | View Profile link for the individual roster entry. |
Lawrence County Custody Channels
A missing roster result does not always mean a person is free. The person may be newly booked and not yet posted, released within the 48-hour window, held on a municipal exception, transferred to Missouri DOC, held federally, in immigration custody, or listed under a different name. Each system covers a different slice of custody.
| Custody | Where to Look | Use When |
|---|---|---|
| Current county jail | Lawrence County current inmate roster | The person is believed to be in the county jail now. |
| Recent county release | 48 Hour Release roster | The person may have left jail within two days. |
| Phone or in person | 417-466-2131 or 1525 Missouri Drive | Custody must be confirmed before travel, bond, visits, or deposits. |
| State DOC | MODOC Offender Web Search | The person was sentenced or moved to state supervision. |
| Victim notification | VINELink | Custody-status notification is needed where available. |
| Federal or ICE | BOP or ICE locator | The matter is federal or immigration related. |

Booking in Lawrence County Jail
Local official detail is limited, but the sheriff's Jail Division gives the main custody path. People arrested in Lawrence County are transported to the Lawrence County Jail for book-in and incarceration unless the arrest falls under the Aurora or Monett municipal-charge exception stated by the sheriff. The public roster then reflects verified list fields such as booking number, booking date, charges, bond, and mugshot for many entries.
Money and property rules begin early. The sheriff commissary notice says jail staff cannot accept public money for detainee banking accounts. Deposits go through the lobby ATM or Tiger Deposits. Medical access is also documented: the jail has an on-call doctor and a weekday nurse who oversees medical requests and coordinates with the doctor. Under RSMo 544.170, a person arrested and jailed without warrant or process must be discharged within 24 hours unless charged by oath and held by warrant, but that state timing rule should not be read as a guarantee for every case.
Lawrence County Jail Visits
The sheriff pages inspected did not publish a jail visitation schedule, remote video vendor, dress code, visitor ID rule, visit length, or attorney-visit procedure. That absence is important. Do not rely on a third-party schedule. Call the jail before travel and ask staff to confirm the visit day, visitor entrance, ID requirement, property limits, and whether the inmate is eligible for visits.
| Facility | Published Schedule | Published Rules | Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lawrence County Jail | Not located in official sources | Not located in official sources | Call 417-466-2131 before travel. |
| Missouri DOC facilities | MODOC publishes facility guidance | Rules can change for room limits, weather, staffing, or security | Use MODOC visiting pages after state transfer. |
The Lawrence County Jail Division source documents the jail operation, jail administrator, custody categories, medical access, phone correspondence, postcards, and the transfer-to-DOC role.
The Jail Division page is stronger for custody and service facts than for visitation because no detailed visit schedule was published in the inspected source set.
Contact Lawrence County Inmates
The jail page says inmates can correspond through the inmate phone system and by sending or receiving postcards through USPS. The research did not locate a local scanned-mail rule, video visit vendor, tablet vendor, or full address format for inmate mail. For that reason, call before mailing anything other than a properly addressed postcard and ask jail staff about the current format, name requirements, booking number use, and rejected items.
The sheriff's mobile app also exists for Lawrence County Sheriff's Office communication, patrol requests, tip submission, public-safety news, and information. App store text did not verify an app-only inmate roster, warrant search, or records portal, so the web roster remains the documented inmate lookup path.
Lawrence County Commissary Funds
The sheriff commissary notice gives specific money and commissary channels. Detainee banking deposits may be made by cash, credit, or debit card at the jail lobby ATM, or online through Tiger Deposits. The Tiger Commissary service page selected for Lawrence County Sheriff's Office offers Web Deposits and Order Commissary. The notice also says jail staff cannot accept public money for detainee bank accounts.
| Service | Provider or Channel | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Detainee banking | Jail lobby ATM | Cash, credit, or debit card may be used at the lobby ATM. |
| Online deposits | Tiger Commissary | Vendor page offers Web Deposits for Lawrence County Sheriff's Office. |
| Commissary orders | Tiger Commissary | Family and friends may order selected items when the detainee has funds. |
| Phone cards | Jail sold cards | The notice lists 5 and 10 dollar phone cards and a lower per-minute cost than collect or prepaid destination calls. |
| Release balance | Debit card | Remaining detainee balance is placed on a debit card at release. |
Note: Confirm custody on the roster or by phone before sending funds, because transfers and releases can happen quickly.
